It’s always a pleasure to visit Italy, and we are so lucky to have the main trade fair in Bologna.  It was as busy as ever, and the bathroom side with Italian sanitaryware manufacturers is a expanding part of the fair.  Three days and close to twenty miles of walking later, we have seen many new tiles.

New for the coming year continues to be smaller, patterned tiles, colour coordinated tiles with varying textures, pale washed out colours, and there were rumours that the colour for this year is grass green!  Time will tell.  Large slabs are appearing more as the fitters become more accustomed to the size and tools required for fitting, though, still very much a commercial product.

Concrete designs, urban finishes to furniture, and the industrial look is on horizon, and the brassware finishes available to compliment these are fabulous, matt black, copper and matt white to name a few.
